We strengthen our relationships with God, ourselves and with others through personal growth.

Our Relationship with God and Our Savior

The Lord is the ultimate caregiver. We must surrender ourselves to the Lord. As you put your faith and trust in the Lord, you may battle your pain day by day and sometimes hour by hour, even moment by moment; but in the end, the Lord will not forsake you. The Lord does not intend for you to heal on your own. He has given you tools, and people, and the atonement to help you through your trials. You know that it is by grace that you are saved after all you can do. So it is important to remember that even though the peace you are seeking for comes from Christ, it can only come through your own efforts. After all that you can do, you must be the one to surrender the rest to your Savior.

Our Relationship with Self

Our intuition is always there, whether we’re aware of it or not. Do we try to hear that inner voice? Our intuition is always there, always reading the situation, always trying to steer us the right way. But can we hear it? Are we paying attention? Are we living a life that keeps the pathway to our intuition unblocked? Feeding and nurturing our intuition, and living a life in which we can make use of its wisdom, is one key way to thrive, in life and in our relationships.

Our Relationship with Others

Setting boundaries gives us real power over the chaos surrounding our lives. Boundaries in our relationships are for our safety and the safety of others. Boundaries can nurture emotional energy and help us develop wisdom and self respect. Establishing and maintaining boundaries is one way we show love for ourselves and in fact for others.

  • Physical boundaries help you determine who may touch you and under what circumstances.
  • Emotional boundaries help you deal with your own emotions and disengage from the harmful, manipulative emotions of others.
  • Mental boundaries give you the freedom have your own thoughts and opinions.
  • Spiritual boundaries help you distinguish God’s will from your own and give you renewed love for your Creator.
