How do I sign up?

Please register online by filling out the registration form to the right. Be sure to select which event you are registering for. After you submit the registration form, you will receive an automated email message confirming its receipt with a link to pay your registration fee via Paypal.

How do I pay?

We prefer that payments are made by Paypal. Click here for our payment page.

You may also pay by regular mail. Please note that your registration is not complete until we have received your physical check, money order, or online payment. Please make your check or money order out to “The Toolbox, LLC.”

To pay by mail, first fill out the online registration form. Then PRINT OUT the questionnaire and fill it out by hand.

What is included in the registration fee?

  • The full program
  • Use of the facilities for all activities
  • Program materials and handouts
  • Food. Some events will include meals. Please see individual event pages for details on meals and food.
  • If the event is an overnight event, the Friday night hotel stay is included.
  • Transportation to or from the facility is NOT included.

Are there other costs involved?

  • If the event includes meals, the event page will list what food will be served. If the food we provide does not fit your dietary needs, you will need to provide your own food.
  • You will need to provide your own transportation to and from the facility.
  • Hotel room rates are included in your registration fee, however, if you incur additional hotel fees (i.e., mini bar, phone charges, tv charges), you will be responsible for covering these costs.
  • If there are other costs involved, it will be included on the specific event page.

What is your refund policy?

  • 30 or more days: If you cancel 30 days OR MORE before the event, your registration fees are refundable less a $40 processing fee.

  • 15-30 days: If you cancel MORE THAN 15 days but FEWER THAN 30 days before the event, 50% of your registration fees are refundable.

  • 7 or fewer days: If you cancel 7 days OR FEWER before the event, your registration fees are NOT refundable.

The Toolbox Cancellation Policy

The Toolbox reserves the right to cancel an event if there are not enough participants registered for the event by a designated time, this date is typically 30 days prior to the event. If The Toolbox must cancel an event, 100% of your registration fees will be refunded to you and you will receive a 10% discount to your next Toolbox event. Please see event specifics for cancellation deadline dates.

Refer a Friend Policy

The Toolbox offers discounts for referrals. In order to obtain your referral credit, simply have your friend put your name (first and Last) in the “Referred to” spot on the registration form and you will receive a credit for your next Toolbox event.

  • Daughters of Light: For each person you refer to Daughters of Light, you will receive a $20 credit towards your next Daughters of Light event. Discounts are only eligible for new referrals (no past DoL participants). Maximum of 2 discounts (total of $40 discount) per event. If you have referred more than 2 people, additional discounts will remain credited to your account for future DoL events.

  • Building Together: For each couple you refer to Building Together, you will receive a $10 credit towards your next Building Together event. Discounts are only eligible for new referrals (no past BT participants). Maximum of 2 discounts (total of $20 discount) per event. If you have referred more than 2 couples, additional discounts will remain credited to your account for future BT events.

Hotel Information

If the event is an “overnight” event, then participation in the event requires that you stay at the hotel and the price of the Friday night hotel stay is included in your registration fee. This price is based on double occupancy and we reserve the right to assign you a roommate if no one is specified when you register. If you would like to request your own room for an additional fee, please contact us so we can make those arrangements for you. If you incur additional hotel fees (i.e., mini bar, phone charges, tv charges), you will be responsible for covering these costs.

Do I have to stay at the hotel or on site?

If the event is an “overnight” event, then participation in the event requires that you stay on site. Overnight events require you to stay on site for the safety of the container we build amongst each other and for you to get the most out of the weekend possible.

Do you provide transportation assistance?

You will need to provide your own transportation to and from the facility.

Is there anything I need to do to prepare for the event?

Some events will ask for preparation before arrival at the event. If this is the case, it will be clearly stated on your registration confirmation page. After you register, and pay your registration fee, a link to this information will be sent to you.

What about confidentiality?

Confidentiality is extremely important to create a safe place to do deep emotional healing work. All participants must sign a strict confidentiality agreement.

This commitment to confidentiality is also reiterated verbally, in person, at the start of the event and again at the end of the event.

What will I need to bring with me?

  1. Legal identification, such as a driver’s license or passport. This is to help ensure that all participants are at least 18 years old and that no one is attending under false pretenses or signing release forms under a false identity.
  2. Your personal effects and appropriate comfortable clothing.
  3. “Overnight” Events
    • Necessary prescribed or over-the-counter medications. If you have a history of asthma, please be sure to bring an inhaler.
    • Personal care items you may require.
    • A refillable water bottle with your name on it.

What NOT to bring:

  1. Please leave all electronic devices at home, in your car, or in your hotel room, including watches, mobile phones and wireless handheld devices. We ask you not to use them at all during the event. (Exception: electronic devices required for your health, such as a CPAP nighttime breathing machine.)
  2. Anything that may distract you or others from the healing purpose.

Can I make or receive calls during the event?

We ask you to agree not to make or receive phone calls during the span of the event. This is to help everyone stay in the experience and focus on their personal work in the present, rather than to be distracted by what might be going on at home or work. An emergency number will be provided in your registration materials should someone need to get a hold of you.

Please tell family members or anyone else who may expect to reach you by phone during the event that you will NOT have access to a phone.

You may wish to tell family members that you can call them when you arrive to let them know you have arrived safely, but that you will not have access to your phone until after the event concludes.

What if I don’t want to participate in one of the processes?

We ask you to participate in every process, but no one will force you to do anything against your will. Anyone may choose to “pass” and not participate in a particular process. The staff may challenge you to consider the reasons behind your choice, but they will never force you or manipulate you into participating.

What if I want to leave early, or want to leave for part of the time?

Participants are asked to stay on site for the full event. No one is to leave the event location temporarily and return back to the event.

However, anyone is allowed to leave the event altogether, at any time, for any reason. Certainly, no one is required to stay who does not wish to continue with the event.

What if I have some physical limitations?

The Toolbox events are not generally very physically rigorous for most participants. We have always been able to accommodate the physical limitations of participants, whether due to age, weight, physical fitness or some type of disability. Of course, each participant is responsible to take care of themselves physically and to communicate their physical limitations to the staff, as necessary.

What if I have special dietary needs?

Please let us know of all dietary needs on the registration form and we will try to accommodate you to the best of our ability. Please be prepared to provide your own food if necessary.

Will my religious values be respected?

The Toolbox, LLC events are not religious events, but we do strive to create a spiritual framework for deep personal growth work where the participant’s individual religious beliefs (or non-belief) are welcomed and may be incorporated into the individual work they do.

We do teach the spiritual principal of surrender to a Higher Power, as part of a broader program of change. But we never intentionally challenge anyone’s religious beliefs, or lack of belief, their morals or values. We will do our best to work within a participant’s existing framework of spiritual beliefs and values.

What is the minimum age to attend?

You must be at least 18 years old on the day you arrive.

Can nursing mothers attend?

Children (including toddlers and infants) are not permitted at Toolbox events. In order to provide a great experience for both the mother and other attendees, children are not allowed. However, pumping can be accommodated during breaks.
